Woman (40s) charged over deaths of three young children

A woman is due to appear in court this evening after she was charged in connection with the deaths of three children at a house in county Dublin last week.

The woman, who is in her 40s, will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 4.30pm.

The bodies of Conor (9), Darrah (7) and Carla (3) McGinley were discovered in their home at Parson’s Court in Newcastle just before 8pm on Friday.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed this evening: “A female in her 40s has been charged in connection with the death of three children at a property in Parson’s Court, Newcastle, Co. Dublin. She is due to appear in the Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon at 4:30pm.”
