WEATHER FORECAST: Waterford’s in for a wet and wild weekend
The weekend is finally here, but you better wrap up well if you’re venturing outdoors over the next few days.
Unfortunately there appear to be no let up in the wet and windy conditions as Waterford faces into another unsettled weekend of weather, according to Met Éireann.
The national forecaster said today will begin cloudy, with rain and drizzle slowly edging its way southwards reaching all areas by early afternoon.
The rain will be heaviest and most persistent in the west, lighter and patchier in nature further east with some drier weather at times. Highest temperatures of 10 or 11 degrees, in strong and gusty southwesterly winds, with gales on coasts.
There will be patchy rain and drizzle tonight, clearing from the northwest to scattered blustery showers with lows of 6 to 8 degrees in the south.
Blustery on Saturday and mostly cloudy with widespread showers. Highs of 9 to 11 and 3 to 6 degrees that night with rain for a time on that night.
Sunday will be mainly dry with sunny spells to start, with passing showers, with temperatures reaching highs of between 9 to 11 degrees.
