WEATHER WARNING: Waterford braced for 100km/h gales and heavy rain
A weather warning has been issued for Waterford with gusts of up to 100km/h expected to batter the county.
Waterford and six other counties were issued with two seperate alerts from Met Éireann today.
The national forecaster warned people to expect falling temperatures, strong winds and heavy rain over the coming days.
The first warning is in place for Donegal, Kerry, Galway and Mayo between midnight and 8am tomorrow. The second alert is valid for Waterford, Wexford and Cork and runs from 3am until 11am tomorrow.
“Southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/h with occasional gusts of 90 to 100 km/h,” Met Eireann said in a statement.
However, the rest of today will be mostly dry, with just light rain or drizzle and top temperatures of 11C.
