WEATHER ALERT: Status Yellow rainfall warning issued for Waterford

A Status Yellow rainfall warning has been issued for Waterford and seven other counties, with Met Éireann warning of a risk of spot flooding in some areas.

The warning was also issued issued for counties Kilkenny, Carlow Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Tipperary.

The national forecaster warned heavy rain tonight will lead to accumulations of 20 of 30mm in places, with a risk of spot flooding.

The warning comes into place from 8pm this evening and lasts until 10am tomorrow morning.
