Waterford Scout Troop gets green light for new state-of-the-art den
A scouting group in Waterford has been given permission to build a brand new den of its own which will not just benefit the troop, but the local community and all the 2,000 people involved in scouting across the city and county.
The 35th Waterford Copper Coast Scout group received planning permission from Waterford City and Council to build a new den and community facility at Ballyscanlon Lough, near Fenor.
The new 250sq mts building will consist of a troop hall, a store, a kitchen, an office, a meeting room, showers, toilets, a covered terrace, and car parking facilities.
The 35th Copper Coast Scout group caters for young people aged between 6-25 years of age in the catchment area of Dunhill, Fenor, Annestown and Bonmahon.
