Waterford school unveils plans for new extension
A primary school in Waterford city has applied for permission to build a brand new extension to provide extra space for its students and special leaning facilities.
The Board of Management of Waterpark National School on the Newtown Road has sought permission from the local authority to build an extension onto the existing school building.
The proposed construction involves the construction of a new two-storey building comprising a new classroom at ground level and a new learning resource room and accessible toilet at the first floor level.
The mixed-gender school currently caters for around 230 students.
A decision on the application is expected from the local council by the start of November.
