Saddle up! Waterford man cycles home from Sydney

As the songs says, it’s a long way to Tipperary … and Waterford too when you’re starting in Australia!

And that’s exactly where a Deise man and his friend from the Premier County began their journey as they cycle across 28 countries in aid of two charities.

Rathgormack’s Paddy Flynn and Carrick-on-Suir’s Daithí Harrison are raising the money for
CMRF Crumlin and the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

The two friends set off on their journey in August and are cycling from Sydney to Dublin in 12 months.

Both men are also running an ultra-marathon in each of the 28 countries along the way.

They are currently in Cambodia where they will tackle their third ultra-marathon in the coming days.
