A second Waterford FC player has undergone Covid-19 testing after reporting symptoms.

Waterford FC has suspended training and all activities at the club as it awaits the results of two sets of tests.

The Blues’ scheduled Premier Divison game against Sligo Rovers yesterday evening was postponed after it emerged a player at the club had reported coronavirus symptoms.

A second player has now also reported symptoms as the club awaits the result of both tests.

In a statement, the FAI said the second player reported suspected Covid-19 symptoms to the club yesterday morning.

It said the player was not involved with the first team during their league win at Shelbourne last Saturday.
