Waterford Euromillions players urged to check tickets following €17 million win
One person in Ireland is €17 million richer today after scooping the last nights Euromillions jackpot and it could be a Waterford player.
It’s the first Irish winner this year and 15th Irish winner since the Euromillions began in 2004.
Waterford players are being urged to check their tickets to see if they are the lucky winner.
The winning numbers were: 24, 26, 32, 43 and 46 and the Lucky Stars were 6 and 10.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “€17,000,000 is a mind-blowing sum of money and we are delighted to confirm that this lucky ticket was sold in Ireland.
“We are now asking all our players to check their tickets very carefully to see if they are the lucky winner or winners.
“If they are the lucky winners we encourage them to sign the back of the ticket, keep it safe and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 01 836 4444.”
There are rumours circulating that the winning ticket may have been sold in the Connaught region, but so far these reports are unconfirmed – so fingers crossed.
