Waterford crash victim and dad-of-one Eoin lost partner Lucia to cancer just seven months ago
The victim of Sunday’s motorcycle crash near Dungarvan has been named as Eoin Sheehan whose partner Lucia Healy died just seven months before him.
Tributes were paid to the father-of-one who leaves behind a two-year-old boy who tragically lost his mother to cancer.
Eoin, who was the co-owner of Dungarvan Precision Engineering, was killed when his motorbike hit a wall in Ballymacarbry, near Dungarvan and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The club would like to offer their most sincere sympathies to the family, friends and work colleagues of the late Eoin Sheehan after his tragic passing,” a spokesperson for local GAA club St Mary’s said.

SHEEHAN; Kilcannon, Cappagh and Kilkeany, The Nire Valley, Co. Waterford. On 22nd March, following a tragic accident Eoin, loving partner of the late Lucia Healy. Adored and much loved father of Olan, loving son of Catherine, brother Caoimhin Walsh, precious grandson of Edmond and Bridget Sheehan. Deeply regretted by his loving family Anthony, Jim, Claire and Ger Sheehan, cousins Cian, Oran, Oisín, Conal and Enya, sister-in-law Noreen, brother-in-law Tony, extended Healy family, relatives, neighbours, colleagues at Dungarvan Precision Engineering and his large circle of friends.

There will be a private family funeral. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Due to recent H.S.E. guidelines regarding funeral gatherings, Eoin’s funeral will take place privately.
