Waterford city store site to be transformed into new housing development
Plans to convert the site of a Waterford city store into a new housing estate have been given the go-ahead.
Liam Neville Developments Ltd has been granted permission for their plans to build 15 homes and a commercial unit on the site of the former Salvage Shop at Bounds Court on the Airport Road.
Waterford City and County Council had requested further information from the developer concerning how best to use the .45 hectare site, the water treatment on the site, the parking on the development and also the road-width within the development.
After examining the comprehensive response from the developer regarding their queries, the local authority decided to grant permission
The 15 residential units will consist of four two-storey, three bed semi-detached units, a two-storey block comprising two one-bed bed units at first floor and a commercial unit at ground floor level, and a three-storey block comprising four one- bed units at ground floor and 5 two-bed duplex units.
