Covid-19: Waterford Council Zooms in for updates on local services during crisis

Waterford City and County Council has gone into crisis mode as the Covid-19 restrictions shut down regular local authority meetings.

Unsurprisingly, the council has confirmed the April Plenary and District meetings will not take place due to ongoing Covid-19 measures.

However, council members will continue to recieve weekly District and Local Area briefings via Zoom over the coming weeks.

The briefings will amost entirely focus local “service updates that will impact on the public” throughout the coronavirus emergency.

A council spokesperson said a decision will be made soon on whether or not to hold the April Plenary meeting via Zoom.

WaterfordNow.ie will bring you updates on all local council business and services throughout the Covid-19 emergency over the coming weeks.
