WATCH: It’s all kicking off as ex-Blues boss Alan Reynolds joins John O’Shea in Ireland’s U21 management team
Former Waterford manager Alan Reynolds has just been unveiled as the new assistant manager of the Ireland U-21 side.
Reynolds, who recently left the Blues to take up the assistant manager role at Dundalk FC, now joins U-21 manager Jim Crawford’s backroom team.
Rennie, as he’s know, will team up with Waterford and Manchester United legend, John O’Shea who was named as part of Crawford’s team earlier this year.
The announcement was made by the FAI on Twitter in the last hour and in a video posted, the Waterford man said he is “Delighted to be able to represent my country.”
Ireland are currently in a three-way battle with Italy and Sweden to qualify for this year’s rescheduled UEFA European u21 Championship which is set to resume in the Autumn.
