WATCH: Brrrr …. snow hits county Waterford with more expected to come
Waterford City and County has been one of the worst areas affected by snowfalls today and Met Éireann is expecting more to come.
The worst of the snow has hit the low-lying areas in the last hour, while some of the higher-lying areas close to the Comeraghs were affected by a good fall of snow overnight.
AA Roadwatch has issued a warning for people driving around the county saying; “conditions are poor.”
The heaviest fall of snow in the city started falling mid-morning with other parts of the county waking up to a blanket of snow.
The traffic alert site has warned of treacherous conditions on the way to Waterford on the M9 Motorway south from Junction 9 at Mullinvat. Gardai are urging people to drive with care.
Many people have been out capturing the snow around the city and the county and posting to social media, capturing some beautiful moments.
