TUNE IN TONIGHT: Waterford acid attack victims to appear on Claire Byrne Live as they step up campaign for justice
The three boys left with horrific life-changing injuries after an acid attack in Waterford city last year will appear on RTÉ’s Claire Byrne Live tonight as they continue their fight for justice.
Last month the three families got confirmation two of the attackers will not be charged over the attack but instead be issued with a Gardai Juvenile Liaison Officer cautions for a year.
The three boys Tega Agberhiere, Padraig O’Sullivan and Oisin Daly Kililea received horrific injuries after they were attacked in the Earlscourt housing estate on the Dunmore Road last April.
The three were subjected to an unprovoked attack which left them with horrifying injuries. Four juveniles were in the Earlscourt area at that time apparently looking for another youth, when they came across the three friends.
The three were launched upon and were then beaten with golf clubs and chains before being sprayed with corrosive acid.
The three boys will be joined by their parents on the show, who have stated previously they cannot accept the decision of the Juvenile Director of Prosecution not to proceed with criminal charges.
The boys and their families will be on Claire Byrne Live, RTÉ One at 10.30pm this evening.
