Tramore man sentenced to 18 months for breaking Waterford FC’s manager leg

A man has been sentenced to one-and-half years in jail for an attack on Waterford FC manager Alan Reynold which left him with a fractured cheekbone and broken ankle.

Dayne Ormond (31), of 1 Beech Park, Tramore was found guilty last July of assault causing harm on Reynolds and was sentenced today.

Reynolds (46) was rushed to hospital following the attack which happen at 1am on Saturday, May 26, 2018 on Tramore’s Main Street.

He sustained a fractured cheekbone, broken nose, a broken leg that required pins being put in, and stitches to cuts over his eye during the horrific and unprovoked attack which occurred the morning following the Liverpool v Real Madrid Champions League final.
