Top international retailer confirms new Waterford store will open next month
A home retail store which aims to revolutionise Waterford’s shopping experience is set to open its doors next month.
Danish retailer JYSK has confirmed it is to open its Waterford store on Thursday, February 27.
JYSK, a home furniture store which rivals IKEA, will make its new Waterford store just the sixth outlet it has opened in Ireland. It plans to open further stores in Limerick, Carlow, Dublin and two in Cork city before the end of the summer.
The new store will open in Boland’s Retail Park on the Cork Road and will provide 10 new full-time jobs.
JYSK currently has over 2,800 stores in 52 countries and is expanding all the time. The Danish retailer has ambitious plans for Ireland and has increased the number of stores it intends opening from 15 to 40 over the next three to five years, creating hundreds of new jobs in the process.
