Rich List 2020: Waterford’s three wealthiest now worth a whopping €1.5bn
Some of Waterford’s wealthiest people have featured in a new ‘Rich List’ published today.
Serial pharmaceutical entrepeneur Seamus Mulligan is Waterford’s richest person, with an estimated fortune of €807 million – an increase of €35 million in the space of just one year, according to the list published in the Sunday Independent.
The 59-year-old, who reportedly received as much as €505 million before taxes following the sale of his 80% stake in Adapt Pharma, came 25th on the list of Ireland’s 250 wealthiest people.
He was followed by the Queally family, the owners of Dawn Meats, with an estimated fortune of €400 million, an increase of €100 million, according to the newspaper.
Tramore-based tech entrepreneur Colm Piercy also featured in the Top 100. He was named as the country’s 59th wealthiest person with a fortune of €360 million, an increase of €30 million on last year.
