REST IN PEACE: Waterford Death Notices

Christine CASEY (née Drohan)
The Folly, Waterford City

The death has occurred of Christina (Chrissie) Casey (nee Drohan), The Folly, Waterford, & formerly of Poleberry, Tuesday 8th September 2020. Peacefully in her 93rd year in the wonderful care of staff at Ferndale Ward, Waterford Residential Care Centre, and surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Paddy, her parents Jimmy & Bridget Drohan, her sister Bride, her first born infant daughter Mary and her first born infant grandson Eoghan. Chrissie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, her sons Tom & Jim, her daughters Rose (Egan), Joan & Christine, their spouses & partners Trish, Sarah, Brian, Lenny & John, her cherished grandchildren Jack, Adam, Niamh, Rebecca, Paddy & Aoife, her sister Joan Browne, brother Tom Drohan, her friends Kathleen , Mary & Alice, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, niece, relatives and friends.

Private Funeral Mass on Thursday in the Sacred Heart Church, The Folly followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery Ballygunner.

Christine’s Funeral cortége will be passing her house at 12.45 pm on the way to the Cemetery.

Dowdall (Nee Shanahan), Scrahan, Kilmacthomas, who died on the 8th of September 2020.

Philo, predeceased by her husband Frank. Dearly loved mother of sons Gerard, Jay & daughter Esme. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, nephew, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, 9th of September, at 11am in All Saints Church, Newtown, Kilmacthomas, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass will be streamed on the Newtown, Kill, Kilmacthomas & Saleen Parish Facebook page, and also on radio 105.2 FM

Mr Timothy (Mack) McEnery (Senior), Lisduggan, and the Apple Market, Waterford late Waterford Crystal and Waterford Iron Foundry. Who passed away peacefully on the 7th of September 2020 following a short illness at University Hospital Waterford. Sadly missed by his wife Stella, sons Tim and Paul, sisters May and Dolly, daughters-in-law Martina and Sandra, grandchildren Laura, Jayne, Dan, Dean and Jack, nieces, nephews, relative and friends.

In accordance with current Government guidelines and HSE directives for Covid-19 regarding public gatherings, with the support of the family and in the interest of public health,  funeral will take place privately.

David passed away, peacefully, at home in the presence of his family after a brief illness. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (nee O’Leary) and dear father of Laurence, Padraig, David and Liam, brother to Ann, Margaret, Larry and the late Pat, Joe and Mary. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, daughters-in-law Emer, Martina, Sarah and Ciara, grandchildren Kaylee, Grace, Aideen, Marie, Aoife, Ciáran, Sophie, Róisín, Fionn, Tadhg and Darragh, sisters, brother, nephews, nieces, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home from 2pm Wednesday, With current restrictions in mind, please be respectful of social distancing and refrain from handshaking. Reception into St. Catherine’s Church, Glengoura, Thursday, for Requiem Mass at 2pm with funeral afterwards to Conna Cemetery.

Drumcondra, Dublin/Chapelizod, Dublin/Cork/Waterford

Una Smyth (nee Kelly) (formerly of Cork, Chapelizod and Drumcondra) passed away peacefully on 7th September 2020 in the wonderful care of Care Choice Nursing Home, Finglas; lovingly remembered by her daughters Karen and Astrid, her dear sister Eileen, her late brother Sean and late sister Enda, her husband Patrick, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, niece, nephew, extended family, neighbours and circle of friends.

Funeral will take place at 11o’c on Thursday morning in The Church of the Holy Child, Swords Road, Whitehall (in accordance with Government guidelines) which can also be viewed on the parish website (Click Here) with cremation afterwards at Glasnevin Crematorium.

Those who would haveCondolences  liked to attend the Funeral but due to the current restrictions cannot may leave a personal message in the section here.
