Plans for new homes and retail unit in Waterford village
The local authority has received plans for a new mixed residential and commercial development in a Waterford village.
DJH Property Limited has lodged plans with the local authority to build three maisonette homes and a retail unit on a site in Amberhill in Kilmeaden.
Under the plans, the developers would demolish an existing storage building on the .093 hectare site and in its place build a two and half storey retail and residential development comprising of a ground floor retail unit with associated ancillary accommodation.
At first and second floor level there will be three one-and-half storey, two bedroom terraced maisonette apartments with associated ancillary accommodations,
Permission is also sought for new common external access area and external stairs to the apartments, as well as a new vehicular entrance with pedestrian and bicycle access points.
A decision on the proposal is due by the beginning of September.
