Motorist tests positive for cocaine while driving ‘dangerously defective’ car in Waterford
A motorist was arrested in Waterford city after he tested positive for cocaine while driving a “dangerously defective” car.
The suspect was stopped by local officers in the city yesterday.
On checking the vehicles, gardai discovered the tyres (pictured below) were bald.
A roadside drug test was also carried out on the driver, who tested positive for cocaine.
The driver was arrested and is due to appear before court.
Gardai tweeted; “Gardaí at Waterford stopped the driver of this car earlier today, car was seized as it was dangerously defective, driver arrested on suspicion of Drug Driving. Proceedings to follow.”
