Man arrested after body of young boy (11) discovered with ‘multiple injuries’
A man has been arrested following the body of an 11-year-old boy was discovered in a house in Limerick.
The boy’s remains were found by gardaí at the house in the Ballynanty area of the city shortly after 7pm yesterday. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Reports this morning said the boy was found with “multiple injuries”.
Gardia have confirmed that a man in his late 20s has been arrested in connection with the boy’s death. He is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Henry Street Garda Station in the city.
The scene has been preserved for a forensic and technical examination.
