Man (30s) charged over assault involving dog and a knife at county Waterford town

A man has been charged in connection with an assault in Tramore involving a knife and a dog that resulted in three men receiving hospital treatment.

The assault occurred in the Bayview area of the town last Thursday.

A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “Three males aged in their 60s, 30s and 20s received non life threatening injuries following an assault by a man which involved a knife and a dog. All males were taken to University Hospital Waterford at the time.”

A man in his 30s has been charged in relation to the incident.

He is due to appear before Waterford District Court this morning at 10:30am.
