LATEST: Six new cases of virus confirmed in Waterford

There has been no further coronavirus-related deaths as 274 more cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.

It brings the overall death toll as a result of virus to 1,792. There are now 32,538 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country.

Waterford is among the counties to record new infections, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).

The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 166 in Dublin, 21 in Cork, 19 in Donegal, 7 in Kildare, 7 in Offaly, 6 in Waterford, 6 in Wicklow, 5 in Louth, 5 in Limerick and 5 in Meath. NPHET said the remaining 27 cases are located across 12 counties, but they did not specify which ones.
