Large new housing development planned for Tramore
A large development that would housing for more than 400 people is being planned for Tramore.
Fewer Harrington & Partners has applied to Waterford City and County Council to build 91 residential units at Crobally Upper in the popular seaside town.
The site is located just off the Old Waterford Road opposite the Tramore Racecourse.
The development, if given the go-ahead, would consist of eight five-bed detached houses, 12 four-bed semi-detached houses, 42 three-bed semi-detached houses, nine three-bed terraced houses, and six two-bed terraced houses.
A four-storey apartment block is also included in the plans containing seven two-bed a and seven one-bed apartments.
The proposed development will also include new internal roadways and footpaths, the widening of the existing laneway to the west of the site, alterations to the existing roundabout at the proposed new site entrance off the Old Waterford Road, new vehicular and pedestrian entrances, and all ancillary site works.
A decision on the major development is due from the local authority by July 18 and submissions are being accepted from the public up until June 26.
