Green light for large new housing development in Waterford city
A large development of family homes in Waterford City has been given the go-ahead by Waterford City and County Council.
Hollyhill Developments Limited has been granted planning permission to build 89 new homes at Knockboy on the Dunmore Road.
The development will see the construction of 20 two-storey, three-bed semi-detached houses; two two-storey, three-bedroom detached homes; 12 two-storey, four-bed semi-detached houses; four two-storey, four-bed detached houses; and 19 two-storey, four-bed detached homes.
The 32 apartments will be housed within five separate apartment blocks of between two-and-a-half and three-and-a-half stories in height.
The first block will contain two one-bed and two two-bed apartments. Two blocks of 16 apartments will each house eight one-bed and eight two-bed apartments. Two more blocks will contain six apartments each, all two-bed apartments.
The development also includes a new road entrance and two new pedestrian entrances from the Dunmore Road.
