Going global: Talented young Waterford artist (15) on show in Tokyo

Work by a talented young Waterford artist is to go on display in Japan.
The prize-winning artwork by Nadia Stefaniak (15) (pictured below) from Abbey Community College, Ferrybank, will be one of four Irish paintings to go on exhibition at the 21st International High School Arts Festival in Tokyo from August 5.
The work, entitled Colour Blast, is an acrylic study which was a winning entry in last year’s Texaco Children’s Art Competition.
The International High School Arts Festival is one of the most prestigious exhibitions in Tokyo. Described as ‘a showcase for the world’s best young artistic talent’, it will feature some 400 artworks by students representing nations across the world.
