Five Waterford supermarkets extend Christmas opening hours

Aldi’s five stores in Waterford city and county will open longer over Christmas.

The supermarket chain said it is taking the move to ensure customers can do all their Christmas shopping quickly and safely over the festive period.

Aldi will open their three stores in Waterford city and stores in Tramore and Dungarvan at 8am from Monday, December 21 until Thursday, December 24, and close at 11pm on each of those days bar Christmas Eve, when they will close at 7pm.

Aldi Group managing director Niall O’Connor said: “Providing a safe environment for our customers and staff is our number one priority.

“The vast majority of our stores will be open from 8am-11pm during Christmas week to spread the demand and allow customers shop when suits them best.
