€40,000 of drugs seized in Garda raids across Waterford city
FOUR people have been arrested following a number of searches by the gardaí drugs unit in Waterford – as part of an ongoing operation against drugs in the city.
The local drug divisional unit searched the Temples Hall area and recovered €30,000 of cocaine and €6,000 worth cannabis herb.
Further searches were carried out in Lisduggan, where gardai found an estimated €2,700 worth of cannabis herb.
In a separate search in Manor Street some €1,300 worth of MDMA was recovered.
Four people were arrested in connection with the search.
Three suspects have been released, according to reports.
Files will be submitted for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions Office.
