Waterford Vs Limerick: Date for rescheduled hurling league clash announced

A date has been set for the rescheduled Waterford v Limerick National Hurling League match.

This morning the GAA announced the match will now go ahead on Saturday, March 7 at 7pm at the LIT Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.

The game originally scheduled for February 16 was called off due to Storm Dennis.

This rescheduled fixture will be last game in the initial league phase of the Hurling League with both Waterford and Limerick looking to be in strong positions to qualify for the knock-out phase, as both are unbeaten in the competition so far.

This weekend Waterford face Tipperary at 2pm on Sunday in Semple Stadium with the All-Ireland champions needing a win if they hope to progress to the knock-out stages, while Limerick are at home to Westmeath at the same time.

The Galway v Tipperary match, also postponed on February 16, has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 8 at 2pm in Pearse Stadium, Salthill.
