COVID-19 EMERGENCY: Donors still required as blood clinics go-ahead in Waterford

Despite the coronavirus emergency, it’s business as usual for the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS).

The IBTS has confirmed its teams will be collecting donations in two centres in Kilkenny in the coming week.

This afternoon the IBTS team will be at Tower Hotel, The Parade, Waterford from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

The team will return to the Tower Hotel on Thursday at the same time.

If you are going to attend the blood clinics, you are advised to follow all the instructions regarding coronavirus coming from the health authorities, to attend alone and leave children at home.

People looking to donate can ring the IBTS in advance to book an appointment on 1850 731 137.
