Copper and gold: Dunmore East house sold for €860,000 was Waterford’s most expensive last year
A house in Dunmore East which sold for €860,000 last year was the highest one-off property sale in Waterford last year.
Copper Beach, a four-bedroom family home with sea views in the centre of Dunmore East upper village and is just a short walk away from the harbour, was sold by Palmer Auctioneers for €860,000 in December.
Figures from the Property Price Register, analysed by property website MyHome.ie, shows that the only bigger transaction recorded in the county were five developments including a number of properties at Friarfield Park which sold for €7,929,515.41 in November.
Other large one-off sales included The Old Farmhouse in Tickincor Lower for €825,000 in April, as well as properties at Skehacrine, Abbeyside, Dungarvan and Headview in Lismore which sold for €760,000 and €750,000 respectively in June and August.
Just over €300m had been spent on property last year in Waterford last year – 1,560 sales compared with the 1,558 transactions recorded in the county in 2018.
