Cocaine and heroin seized in series of weekend Garda raids across Waterford city

Four people were arrested after gardai in Waterford carried out a series of searches of houses in the city over the weekend.
Just over €3,000 of illegal drugs were discovered in searches of five properties across the city.
Four men were arrested in the planned raids, although gardai say none of the incidents are related.
All were arrested and subsequently released without charge. Files on each case are now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Around €800 worth of heroin was seized during a search of a house in the St Carthage’s Avenue area of the city.
A further €600 of cocaine was found at a property in Newport Terrance.
Some €350 of cocaine and €800 of cannabis herb was discovered in two houses in the Templers Hall area of the city, along with a further €385 of cocaine at another property on Mount Sion Avenue.
