Class act! Teacher Gus scoops €15k on Winning Streak

Gus Flynn’s pupils always knew he was a class act and now they know he’s a TV act too!

The teacher from Waterford City won €15,000 when he appeared on the Winning Streak National Lottery TV game show January 11.

Gus is a teacher in Presentation Secondary School in Clonmel, Co Tipperary where he teaches Geography and PE.

There has been great excitement about the school leading up of his Winning Streak appearance.

Supporting him was his mum Anita and his little sister Roisin (9), his girlfriend Jessie, from the studio audience as well as his teammates from his hurling side, Ballygunner GAA, based in Waterford, where Gus plays as a half-back.

With his winnings, Gus says he may put it towards a bit of travel – being a school teacher he has his summers free so he may well put them to good use this summer.
