BREAKING: Waterford among 456 new cases of virus as six further deaths confirmed

A further six more people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 456 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.

It brings the overall death toll as a result of the virus to 1,978. There are now 67,526 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPTHET).

The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 151 are in Dublin, 38 in Limerick, 27 in Cork, 27 in Donegal, 27 in Galway with the remaining 186 cases spread across 20 other counties, including 21 further infections in Waterford.
