A former priest who was extradited from Portugal has been charged with having child pornography while he lived at an address in Waterford.

Mr O’Grady, who is originally from Limerick, was deported from Portugal on Friday after he was held there under a European Arrest Warrant in the Algarve in October.

He was immediately arrested at Dublin Airport and taken to the Bridewell Garda station.
