Book an armchair seat: Waterford’s Theatre Royal films shows for streaming
You can’t keep a good theatre down. And Waterford’s Theatre Royal is determined that, despite Covid restrictions, the show will go on.
The theatre has announced details of a ‘Stage to Stream’ Christmas cracker of live entertainment for December. The shows feature a host of well-known musicians, actors, dancers, panto stars, and puppeteers.
They are being professionally filmed live on the theatre’s beautiful stage and will be presented to audiences via a live stream.
Theatre manager Mary Boland said her team was determined not to let the year go by without bringing some much-needed festive cheer to Waterford audiences.
“All shows in our festive programme will be sold at €10 per stream, with the purchaser receiving a link to their show after booking,” she explained. “All they need is a reliable WiFi signal, a comfortable armchair and perhaps the odd
selection box, to sit back and enjoy the show!”
The theatre is also offering a specially designed programme of children’s entertainment to primary schools across Waterford.
