Blue at heart: Waterford FC unveil jersey supporting 24/7 Cardiac Care
Waterford FC launched its much anticipated 2020 jersey last night and it will bring joy to people’s hearts.
Following last week’s announcement by club owner Lee Power the Blues would use the jersey sponsorship to highlight the lack of 24/7 cardio care for the South East, the club unveiled the jerseys at the Viking Hotel, Waterford last night.
The jerseys garnered massive interest with a huge crowd attending the launch.
Waterford’s FC statement is a huge show of support for the campaign. The club said at the unveiling: “24/7 Cardiac care is not a Waterford issue.
It’s a regional issue affecting the lives of 500,000 people. Your heart does not operate on 9 to 5. Neither should cardiac care for the South East.
The Blues will wear the new kit for the first time tomorrow night when they take on Bohemians in the RSC, kick-off at 7.45.
At the launch, Waterford FC were delighted to unveil their two latest signings, Will Longbottom (21) from Doncaster Rovers and local lad Jack Larkin (19) who was on the books at Celtic.
Both are forwards and join the club on permanent contracts and are set to bolster a young squad adding to the fan’s excitement for the season.
