Au-lait: Council approves plans to build new café at county Waterford supermarket

A supermarket giant has been granted permission to build a new café adjoining one of its stores in county Waterford.

Waterford City and County Council has given the Tesco Store at Summerhill in Tramore permission to build a new 240mt sq café at its eco-store.

As part of the plans, the UK supermarket giant will reclaim around a quarter of an acre of the car-park to build the café, which will include external seating.

A new food and beverage preparation area has also been approved as part of the plans.
