Gardai seek to unravel mystery about woman (22) who disappeared in Waterford 26 years ago today
Gardai have renewed a public appeal for information into the disappearance of a young woman in Waterford 26-years ago.
Imelda Keenan, who was 22-years-old she went missing, left her flat on William Street which she shared with her boyfriend on the afternoon of January 3, 1994. It was the last time she was ever seen.
The young woman, originally from Mountmellick in county Laois, was studying in Waterford at the time of her disappearance.
At 1.30pm that day she left to go post office and was last seen crossing the road on Lombard Street close to the Tower Hotel. She was wearing a white jumper, leopard skin ski pants, a blue denim jacket and black shoes at the time.
