Meet The Journalists

Shane Doran

Shane Doran is founder and Co-Managing Editor of News Now Media, incorporating KilkennyNow.ie, WaterfordNow.ie and WicklowNow.ie.

He is a former newspaper editor who has held senior executive roles across five national newspaper titles, both broadsheet and tabloid. He was News Editor and Executive Editor of the Irish Independent for more than seven years and spent a number of years in South Africa where he worked as editor of The Daily Voice newspaper.

Shane has held senior editorial positions with The Sunday Independent, The Herald and The Irish Daily Star and has served as Executive Editor (Group) of Independent News & Media (INM), Ireland’s largest newspaper group.

Graham O’Neill

Graham O’Neill is Co-Managing Editor of News Now Media, incorporating KilkennyNow.ie, WaterfordNow.ie and WicklowNow.ie.

He has worked across a range of Irish national newspaper titles in various roles. He was Assistant Editor of the Irish Independent, Production Editor of the Sunday Independent and worked as a sub-editor with the Evening Herald.

Graham is owner and publisher of the Voice Group of newspapers, whose titles include the Dublin Voice, Wicklow Voice, Carlow People, Wexford Chronicle and Waterford Today.

Colin Bartley

Colin Bartley is Group Correspondent of News Now Media, incorporating KilkennyNow.ie, WaterfordNow.ie and WicklowNow.ie.

He has two decades of experience working as a news reporter in print, broadcast and online.

Colin has worked for several national and local media organisations, including RTÉ, TheJournal.ie, the Irish Independent, Beat 102-103, Radio Nova, the Tipperary Voice and the Galway Independent.

Michael Wolsey

Michael Wolsey is a columnist and editorial contributor to KilkennyNow.ie, WaterfordNow.ie and WicklowNow.ie.

He has 50 years’ experience as a journalist and editor on national and local newspapers. Michael was Features Editor of the Irish Press, Assistant Editor of the Evening Herald and Deputy Editor of the Irish Independent for 15 years.

He was also Managing Director of the Drogheda Independent group of newspapers.
