Waterford start-ups receive €1.2 million in funding to help them grow
Waterford start-up businesses received a total of €1,193,619 in funding from the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) last year, new figures reveal.
The figures are a significant rise of more than 20% from the €973,619 in supports given to new busineses last year.
The figures emerged in the last monthly management report to Waterford City and County Council.
The report also reveals that despite the increase in funding, local LEO representatives had fewer (285) meetings with start-up clients up until November this year when compared to the same period last year (435).
