Waterford Council chief gives update on €400m North Quays development
Working on the detailed design of the landmark €400 million North Quays project is “continuing” and the local authority is expecting another submission from the developer soon.
In his latest briefing to councillors, Waterford City and County chief executive Michael Walsh confirmed: “Work is continuing on the detailed design and tendering of the North Quays access infrastructure.
“The developer is working on providing the additional information requested on their planning application and we expect a submission in the next couple of weeks.”
A source close to the developers, Falcon Real Estate Development, recently told WaterfordNow.ie that half of the apartments earmarked for the North Quays have been sold.
They also said a tech company would be moving into one of the offices and that a hotel associated with the development is close to sale.
