REST IN PEACE: Waterford Death Notices

Patrick (Pat) CASSIN 
Late of Alphonsus Road, Waterford City, Waterford/Slieverue, Kilkenny

Patrick (Pat) Cassin, Late of Alphonsus Road and Tusnua Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny, who died on Wednesday, 15th July 2020, peacefully, at University Hospital Waterford, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his mam Nancy, brother Michael. Pat will be sadly missed by his loving dad Tom, all the Cuddy and Grant families, all his working colleagues at Rehab and all his friends and staff at Tusnua, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Pat will be reposing in Power’s Funeral Home, Ferrybank on Thursday 16th July from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, removal on Friday, 17th July, to the Church of the Assumption, Slieverue, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to leave a message of condolence to Pat’s family can do so here.

Mr. John Fitzgerald, Woodlawn Grove and late of Sallypark, Waterford, Who Died on Wednesday, July 15th – 2020 R.I.P. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, neighbours and friends.

John’s funeral will pass Woodlawn Grove on Friday, July 17th, at 10.15am, Private Funeral Mass will take place at 11am, at the Church of the Assumption, Slieverue, followed by burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen LYONS (née Power)
Late of Lyons Bar, Slieverue, Kilkenny/Waterford

Kathleen Lyons (nee Power), late of Lyons Bar, Slieverue, Co. Kilkenny, who died on Wednesday, 15th July 2020, peacefully, at University Hospital Waterford, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Billy, parents Martin and Mary, brothers Tom and Murt, Kathleen will be sadly missed by her son Bill, daughters Maria (Ryan) and Ruth (Duggan), sons-in-law Derick and Michael, grandchildren Jason and Nathan, great grandson Jay, sisters-in-law Margaret and Eleanor, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

O’DRISCOLL; Knockaun East, Cappoquin, Co. Waterford. On 15th July 2020, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Eileen (Nee McGuire), loving wife of the late John O’Driscoll, sister of the late Bernie O’Connor. Deeply regretted by her loving daughters Orla, Sinéad and Áine, sisters Essie Galvin, Marie Galvin, Peggy Flynn, Kathleen McGuire, Teresa Dwyer and Christine Browne, sons-in-law Donal Ryan and David Whelan, grandchildren Peter, Harry, George, Olivia, Sarah and Laura, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Eileen’s Funeral will take place privately.

Due to Government and H.S.E. advice and guidelines regarding public gatherings and to protect our most vulnerable family members and our friends, a private family funeral will take place. We look forward to meeting everyone at a Memorial Service at a later date.

Shanahan (nee Fahy), Ann Elizabeth (Betty), Ordnance Survey, Phoenix Park, Dublin & late of Waterford, July 15th 2020, peacefully in the loving care of the staff of T.L.C. Nursing Home, Maynooth, beloved wife of the late Tom, deeply regretted by her loving son Ted, daughters Noreen, Deirdre & Ann, sons-in-law Willie, Brian & David, daughter-in-law Evelyn, grandchildren Stephanie, Fiona, Luke & Eoin, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to government guidelines regarding public gatherings, a family funeral will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Maynooth on Friday at 11am. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral but due to current restrictions cannot, please feel free to leave a message in the condolence page here.
